The concept of Bella Verdi Farms (Italian words meaning “Beautiful Greens”) was conceived in 2003 out of the desire to leave the high tech world and do something revolving around a passion for fine food while also being involved with the local community.

Business travel in our high tech life afforded us the opportunity to travel to many cities known for their fine cuisine. Still searching for a way to blend our food passion with a business venture we were intrigued by the trend towards the use of micro greens in the finer dining establishments. This observation encouraged us to conduct some research. We visited with countless chefs and their feedback reinforced our beliefs that a need existed for a premier local grower of specialty micro greens.

Dedicated to providing the finest quality product, we moved onto researching and consulted with some of the finest hydroponics experts in the world. The result of this relentless self education process was a world-class growing facility with advanced growing methods that are helping us achieve our dream of producing high quality herbs and micro greens.

After searching for the ideal piece of property we constructed our state of the art greenhouse outside of Austin, Texas in Dripping Springs and began operations in May of 2004.

Our love of food and being around others that share that passion, keeps us working hard to provide the finest quality product and varieties to our customers.

The Bella Verdi Farms business model keeps us focused on what we do best, growing. We partner with local distributors to deliver our products; however we value and encourage the personal relationship with our chefs to ensure we are providing the products that they desire. We also continue to support the local Farmer’s market, which ensures that we don’t lose sight of the end customer’s feedback.
